We are so thrilled that our new room is finished, full of wonderful new bookcases and books. All the books in the library, 19500+ had to be moved to new locations to take advantage of the new room and the increased space it provided. We have housed all the detectives and thrillers in there as well as the large print collection. This has meant that the entire area in the two original ‘back rooms’ is now devoted to general fiction and short stories and fantasy/science fiction. The biographies/autobiographies in the Reading Room now have extra space as we moved the short stories to their new location. All in all it has met with great approval and excitement. An official opening will be held at a date to be announced in January 2020 when a plaque will be unveiled thanking those who have made this new room possible.
