Volunteer

The Maldon Athenaeum library is an independent community managed library run entirely by local volunteers.

Without these volunteers there would be no library. Volunteers are vital to the library’s operations and continued service to the community. If you would like to become a library volunteer please contact the library, either come in during opening hours, fill in the attached form or send us an email inquiry at maldonathenaeumlibrary@gmail.com.  Once your application has been received and your Working With Children Check verified, you will be invited for an interview.  You may then become a volunteer and be given orientation and training.

Volunteers may choose to help with loans and returns of books, cataloguing, repairs, administration, reviews, fund raising etc. As a library volunteer you will receive training and support in your role, if you can spare a couple of hours a week, a fortnight or a month please come and join our team of library volunteers.
